What Are Home Buyers and Sellers Saying About You?

NAR recently published their annual report for 2013 seeking to profile home buyers and sellers. Here are some of the highlights we found particularly interesting:

  • The typical home buyer searched for 12 weeks and viewed 10 homes.
  • 88% of buyers purchased their home through a real estate agent or broker
  • Buyers that found their agent through a friend or family referral: 42%sellers: 39%
  • Two thirds of home sellers only contacted one agent before selecting one.
  • Buyers using the Internet in the home search rose slightly to 92%

 

What does this mean for you? It's evident that a having a web presence is becoming increasingly vital in today's market. But referrals still play a large role in agent selection, mandating great impressions and superior customer service.
